...to Denby Dale District Lions, the local branch of Lions International which covers Denby Dale, Skelmanthorpe, Scissett, Clayton West, Emley, Shelley, Upper and Lower Cumberworth, Birdsedge and surrounding villages.
Our Club serves the local community in many different ways. We give aid and support to many groups, schools, individuals and charities. You ask for help and we aim to respond quickly and effectively.
Whilst our priorities are local the Club is truly International (without any religious or political affiliations) and strives to provide immediate assistance in times of disaster to any part of the world. All this is made possible through the tireless efforts of our members and the generosity of you, the local people, who support our events and provide sponsorship for projects
While all this may seem like hard work we certainly know how to enjoy ourselves.
Denby Dale District Lions a mixed group of men and women from all walks of life and of differing ages from 22 to a lot more. Together we have a wealth of knowledge and skill which we enthusiastically put to work to organise events and very importantly to have fun. We organise social activities once a month to which all are welcome.
